Note: this article assumes you are using the WooCommerce API version 4.7 and Wordpress version 5.3 or newer. The exact steps may vary if your version is different.
When adding Hotspots to your SNPT items, the common approach is to copy and paste the URL. But, if you are using WooCommerce, then you can take advantage of the API support it has, to link up your SNPT account. From here, you can look up the product on SNPT by name, rather than URL. The steps are as following:
Ensure you have the Legacy API enabled
From the Wordpress backoffice, you'll find this under the 'Woocommerce' section, and within its Settings section. From here, click through to 'Advanced' and then the 'Legacy API' link tab in the second navigation row. Click to enable the legacy REST API and click to save.
Connect via your SNPT account
Head to the 'Account' section of your Snapppt account. Scroll down to the integrations section and enter your Woocommerce URL into the WooCommerce field. This should be the URL to the home of your Woocommerce store.
Approve the WooCommerce connection
Click Connect and you'll be sent to your WooCommerce instance and asked if you are happy to provide Read access to Snapppt. Approve the connect and your done.
With your WooCommerce now connected to your SNPT account: simply go to add a link to any of your SNPT items, and upon typing into the URL field, matching suggestions will appear:
Please check that you have enabled Permalinks for your WooCommerce store. Simply head to 'Settings > Permalinks' and select a format for your WooCommerce Product URLs (anything other than the 'Plain' option):
