Product Page Galleries (PPG) allow you to turn your Instagram content, User Generated Content, and Influencer Content into Social Proof inside the most important part of your sales funnel, your product page.

When combined with multiple product tags Product Page Galleries can be used to boost your average order value and sales conversions by cross-referencing other products that allow customers to 'Shop the Look'. relatable content from other customers in the form of UGC also encourages purchase confidence and spending by letting your customers see how your products look in relatable photos and videos posted by real people - this is often referred to as 'Social Proof'. You can see the uplift effect of Product Page Galleries in your Media Sales & Reports.

Here's an example that demonstrates how Product Page Galleries can be used to show the product as seen on different people - in this case, a grey trench coat. With Product Page Galleries you engage your customers, convert purchase intent and drive up revenue on all your Product Pages.

Clicking on a gallery image invokes the lightbox and product tags. These can be styled to fit in with your Brand using the gallery style setting on the left:

Note: installing a Product Page Gallery into your theme requires being comfortable modifying code. Please ensure you are comfortable with HTML/CSS, or that you work with a web developer.

  1. Sign into your dashboard

  2. In your main menu go to Visual Shopping > Product Page Galleries

You should now see the Product Page Galleries preview page

  3. Using the options found in the left-hand column,
configure your product gallery to get the look you want

  4. Copy the Product Page Galleries embed code found at the bottom of the left-hand column as shown below

2. Install your PPG code in your Shopify Theme

In your Shopify back office, head to the Store > Themes section, and from the right-hand side of the page, click on 'Edit code' under the 'Actions' dropdown.

For here, the goal is to narrow down the Template or file which is used for your Product page - specifically the location where you want to install the embed - such as the Product page image for example.

In many cases, the file you're looking for will be the product.liquid file, which is found in the Templates list. Click on the filename to launch it into the editor. You may find that the template file simply has an include to another snippet or section file - so you'll need to follow it through till you find the code used for your Product Page content.

Now, once you have identified the location where would like the PPG embed to display (after the product image, or following your product description for example), page in your Sauce embed code. If you're unsure of where to paste your Sauce embed code, please contact your theme developer or tech team. If further help is needed, reach out to us.

Finally, Click Save to persist your changes 👍

To optimise the sales conversions & Social Proof of Product Page Galleries we recommend displaying the Gallery immediately below the main product image as shown in the example below:

The example above shows the use of a carousel. Customers that click on an image or video in the carousel will see a Lightbox view of the item they clicked on. Where other products are tagged in the image they will be shown on the right-hand side allowing the customer to 'Shop the Look' increasing basket size and your store's AOV.
